QUAKE 4 REVIEW PC
Its just the idea The gaming 'thing' much less seen in the remakes of the old school pc titles is 'immersiveness'.I don't know why the bad guys have to be a merger of demon and machinery, but I do know that there is nothing 'special' under the phenomena. There is no myth under it, no mystery, no charisma, no 'thought' underlying this concept. I do not recommend buying Quake 4 until the price drops significantly. I don't need to pay $60 for some new maps.

The graphics are beautiful and the lighting is excellent, but the game is very lacking of new ideas. Unreal 2004 released a ton of new ideas with the use of vehicles and new maps, but Quake 4 feels very much like Quake 3. No new weapons, no new ideas, just more run and shoot with the same old gear. It's Quake, but there's nothing new except the graphics. If I were a parent, I would refuse to buy my child an Xbox 360 just so that they don't ever get their hands on this game. I'm no newbie to horror type games, but this one is the most disgusting display I've ever seen. It's Quake, but there's nothing new except This game is Doom 3.5 with a ton of gore (for the single player game). This game is Doom 3.5 with a ton of gore (for the single player game).
